How to Keep Hubby Happy

In my life things are crazy. There are kids, a mom, a dog, a couple houses, a couple jobs, extended families, three schools, chorus, girl scouts, art lessons, bare walls that need paint, boxes in the garage, and one very important person that brings home the money that pays for it all. It took a long time to figure out that there is one person we should all ensure is happy. I used to think that as long as the kids and I are happy then everybody is happy. Ha ha ha, that is so not true. The reality is that if hubby is happy then everybody is happy, even the dog.
If things start out right in the morning then it shapes the rest of the day. His favorite way to have breakfast on a weekday is silently. Thankfully my daughters share the same affection for quiet mornings. The next step to a happy hubby is to shut my mouth. I am also a fan of quiet at six o’clock in the morning; however, after breakfast ends, he likes to tune into his inner rock star while he dresses for work. I would prefer no one even speaks. Oh well, he’s happy.
Keeping hubby happy is a full time job. Before I leave for school I need to make sure the kids have made their beds, lights are out, and their bathroom is clean. Here is a tip on how to make sure this all happens: Do it yourself. Also, making sure no one left drips of cereal in the disposal will save a lot of heartache should he happen to come home early.
My after school time normally involves a run to the commissary, liquor store, and whatever other random errand needs to be done. Although the liquor store may be for me. I never mind doing these things because it keeps hubby happy. I never have to worry about sending him to the store to battle the evil retirees of this retirement town. That never ends well.
When the kids get home we have a nice relaxing afternoon of snacks, friends, homework, and lying around. My hubby and I have an unspoken understanding; he will send a text message asking if I need anything because...
