How TV has changed.



Television has changed dramatically over the years. The good days of family sitcoms with ordinary commercials are a thing of the past. These days, television is being over populated with reality shows that are really good or just horrible and random commercials that are as far from beneficial as one would like them to be.
The first aspect of television which has evolved is the TV shows. Television before my time was basically about good relaxing sitcoms which the whole family could gather around the TV set and watch as one. In actuality there are still a couple sitcoms that do draw a lot of attention from the family but they are still few and distant between. Instead of good traditional sitcoms, there is reality television. Reality TV has basically taken over television; even the music channels. Every channel you turn too there is some random celebrity or some family that gets a show. Some shows can be very overwhelming.
Another phase of television has changed over the years is through commercials. TV commercials have defiantly evolved from commercials in the past. Back in the day, commercials would be with a sweet old lady or a stay home mother but that has changed. Now the mother is being replaced with a sexy young lady with long hair and half her clothes off while selling dish detergent. Sex sales! TV is now basically about how can be the sexiest.
The final area where one would believe that TV has changed over the years is the physical look of the television. When the television first came out years ago, it was a small square box which appeared in black and white with two long antennas. Then it was a bigger TV with a larger array of vibrant colors.
The whole concepts of a color TV has changed over the course of time but it didn’t stop there. The television has continued to change especially with the new concept of High Definition...
