Week Two Learning Team A Reflection
Discuss this week’s objectives with your team. Your discussion should include the topics you feel comfortable with, any topics you struggled with, and how the weekly topics relate to application in your field.
Our learning team discussed in detail the results of our individual DiSC assessment over the past week. One significant take away for me was that having a personality type of each category on your team is a very good option in that it creates a team personality strength foundation capable of almost any task. The synergy created by all of the different personality types would create a team dynamic that, in my opinion, would make work enjoyable. I have also considered this particular assessment and how my co-workers would score. An interesting part of this exercise that I have not completed and would like to complete adds a peer evaluation. The comparison of how we see ourselves verses how others see us would be very interesting.
- – I am a “D” and it describes me in a lot of ways. I do have a need for control and have the need to recognize for a job well done. I find it easy to motivate others but struggle with it myself. We were asked two questions in Class: 1. What can I do to help you achieve your goals? I need brutal honesty and support. 2. Name a project that you are proud of (paraphrased). I am proud that I have made it this far in school with the challenges I have faced and continue to face. I plan to obtain my CPA certification and obtain my Doctorate’s in Business here at UOP.
