Hurricane Preparedness

Hello my name is Stephen. I would like to welcome you here today for this meeting. Today we will be discussing the safest and most efficient ways to prepare for a hurricane in the greater New Orleans area. We will also discuss materials that might be useful or may assist you during a hurricane. We will also discuss the right time for your family to evacuate. Being that we are in the greater New Orleans area, you should plan ahead. What this means is that we all know that each year a hurricane has a chance to hit, so you should have a plan in order way before hurricane season hits. If you plan ahead, when the season rolls in and when a hurricane approaches, you’re already a step ahead. This will get you out the area quicker and safer. Make sure you have all the things that are essential to your needs first. Make sure you have enough money; save up for the cost. What this means is that, you will need money for food, maybe hotel room, and gas.
If hurricane season has approach and you are just starting to make plans, make sure you fill up on gas first. At this time gas will almost be hard or impossible to find. So get your gas early as possible. Then when you are on the road make sure you bring patients with you. Traffic will be bad so try to stay positive.
This will help in moving. Things you will need to take with you could range from food to pictures. I say take what’s most important to you. Again medicines, money, extra gas, spare tire, insurance policies, birth certificates, medical insurances, and also a first aid kit. Make sure you take some kind of food and drinks because you never know how long it might take to get where you have to go.
