IB Art Personal Statement
Art has been with me since elementary school. From coloring with crayons to sculpting a 3D figure, I have always found art my own special hobby and something that I like to do on a daily basis. The IB Art class has helped me find out what I mainly like to do and what I will be able to do in the future. It helps me distinguish from the strengths I have in art and the weaknesses that I need to improve in. I want my artwork to be something I can look back on and see the mistakes that I made and be able to fix it. I believe that this class will help me out even further in the future because of what it has to offer. I am planning on majoring in some sort of art field (either fashion design, interior design, graphic design, etc) so IB art will definitely be a huge factor and help for me. I hope that one day I will be able to use my artwork for other projects and experiments. I will be able to look back on them and see what I have done and what I need to change or improve in. To improve in something, you have to first know what you need to work with, and then try to take it to the next level and reconstruct it to make it better. I took IB Art because I wanted to expand my knowledge of art and I hope that it will be able to help me with my struggles. I know that I will learn a lot from this class because I am willing to try and learn new things that will help me with my career for the future.
