A job analysis is a process to identify and determine in detail the particular job duties and requirements and the relative importance of these duties for a given job (hr-guide.com). With the methods and criteria used to conduct a job analysis, the person who decides which selection of people to choose have their choicesnarrowed down and are a bit easier to distinguish. In the selection for new salespersons at InterClean, the two analysis methods that would be the most appropriate are the standard interview as well asjob performance. The conducting of an interview provides information about the potential employee that is not always available in the other analyzing methods. With a traditional interview an employer can gather information about the interviewee’s intellect, communication skills, personality, personal hygiene, background, appearance and much more. Information acquired during the interviewing process can also provide the company or organization with tools that would enhance the growth and selection process for the business as it grows. The interview analysis method hits almost every area of purposes on the chart of the purposes of an analysis method in that it gives the information of the job description, assists with the development of tests, the development of interviews, provides useful information regarding job evaluation, the designing of training, as well as performance appraisal design (Cascio, 2005). The other job analysis method that would suit the selection for the salespersons at InterClean is job performance, which is putting out the requirements and exact criteria that has to be met on the job. This method avoids any doubt in the selection process because the applicant actually performs the job under study to get firsthand exposure of what the job demands...
