Does immigration, illegal or otherwise, take away jobs from American citizens?

Illegal Immigration has been a reoccurring issue in the United States. The term “Illegal Immigrant” refers to any person coming to the United States without any sort of Government issued papers. There have been a growing number of immigrants coming into the United States over the years; working for low wages effecting job for American citizens. Through economic concerns, and overpopulation, Illegal Immigration has affected our society in a negative way.
While there have been massive arguments and debates that illegal immigrates take away jobs from American citizens, this paper will seek supporting evidence to show the claim to be true. This paper supports that illegal immigrate do take away jobs from American citizens and affect our economy in many ways.
This paper will have a general audience because of the controversy that it sparks every time it comes up. Immigration is a well-known subject that is always up for debate. This is the reasons why some say immigrate help the economy and some say hurt the economy. This paper will useful for those interested on the debate does immigration, illegal or otherwise, take away jobs from American citizens.
All across America illegal immigrants are being hired because they are taking jobs for less money than an American would. This is taking a pay check away from many Americans that could use it during this rough time in American society. In the meantime, an estimated 700,000 undocumented immigrants from around the world continue to enter the U.S. each year, according to the Pew Hispanic Center (Thornburgh 35). 700,000 illegal immigrants is an outrageous amount of people to be coming into this country. If you consider the numbers, about half are adults and the other half children. Therefore, there could possibly be 350,000 illegal immigrants either taking or attempting to take jobs away from hardworking Americans.
