Nowadays, one of the biggest issues in the United States is immigration. Most people immigrate to the United States trying to find a better and more comfortable life for themselves and for their families. Poverty is the main cause of people immigrating to the United States; therefore, when the pain of hunger is stronger than desire, people will run the risk of death trying to find a way to satisfy the greatest pain in their life. Personally I think that immigrants that contribute in a positive way in this powerful and productive country should be treated with respect. They should be able to earn equal rights and opportunities, as well as freedoms like any other American citizen. The mistakes and crimes committed by those few immigrants that only come to become burdens and criminals should not bring down the whole immigrant community, and deprive them of an opportunity to better their lives. Those who defy the law, should be in some way expelled from the country or incarcerated to relieve the country of there insubordination.
The majority of illegal immigrants in the United states are from Latin America. To reduce the number of immigrants coming through the southern border with Mexico, the government has decided to build walls along this border. The results after this have been very favorable. The immigration rate has decreased tremendously. Also in addition to these results, the number of deaths in the deserts of this border has increased as well. The walls have made it harder for immigrants to find new ways to reach the American dream successfully. Major causes of death are dehydration or excess heat exposure. This is, because of the lack of water in the deserts. Without it people cannot survive the brutality of the desert. Others have become victims of murders, they are killed for their money. Even some others have just lost themselves and cannot find a way out.
