Technology has had a large impact on marketing of goods and services today in Kenya. There has been a big change in the marketing of goods and services with the introduction of technological ways in which goods and services are marketed. The introduction of media has had the greatest impact in the marketing of goods and services here in Kenya and mostly through the use of television and radio.
Television as the one of the most used way to market goods and services, if not the mostly used, is generally acknowledged as the most powerful advertising medium and reaches a broad spectrum of consumers. This has greatly impacted in the marketing of goods and services here in Kenya since companies are able to reach a wide range of population while minimizing on there costs of advertisement. The use of television is an effective means of vividly demonstrating a products attributes and persuasively explaining their corresponding consumer benefits. It ca also dramatically portray user and usage imagery, brand personality and other intangibles.
Radio also is another marketing tool that has had great impact here in Kenya due its ability to cover a wide range of population. A big majority of Kenyans listen to radio and with this companies are radio with this companies are able to market their products in an easy, faster and effective way having past information bout their goods and services to their target market. With also the emergence of many radio stations that operate in different tribes and languages, information about products and services is conveyed in an understandable way to the consumer to the benefit of both the consumer and the marketer.
