Steps in how to deal with initial bad grades.

Step 1. Don't drown yourself in sorrow just because you did poorly on a test. This will just distract you and keep you from doing your best in other subjects.

Step 2. Look towards the future and aim to do better on the next test. This isn't going to be the end of your academic career, you've got lots of tests to come (hooray??) and plenty of chances to pick yourself up and show them what you've got! That said, take this test as a wakeup call that's telling you that you should try preparing for the test in a different way.

Step 3. See what mistakes you made and correct them carefully so that you won't make the same errors on the next exam.

Step 4. Tell your parents about your grade; don't lie. You will not feel guilty about it. It's better if you tell them rather than let them find out by themselves.

Step 5. Get a good grade next time.

Step 6. Stop sulking and start studying!

Step 7. Don't make bad excuses tell the truth!

Step 8. Find out your weakness and learn to improve from that... for example, if it's multiple choice, work on that!

Step 9. Go to the library so that you can study when nobody is around you.

Step 10. Ask your teacher for anything that you have, and if you don’t want to ask when the other student's is in the room ask them when the student's leave.

Step 11. Study is a very strong word for the student's to do when they need some help with something.
