The film Inside Man was produced in the year 2006. It was written by Russell Gewirtz
and directed by Spike Lee. The film is a crime thriller that tells the story of a robbery along Wall
Street, in a bank. Also, the storyline involves Arthur Case, who requested to be involved. He
wanted to place something in a safety box and away from robbers in a safe personal deposit.
Therefore, the film was the collaboration between Lee and Washington. Arguably, Inside Man
creates a perception of corporate social responsibility. It proves that the bank has a responsibility
to the community. The film also portrays an ethical dilemma. The detective needs to establish
what to do after the diamond was found in the pocket of the bank’s employee. For this reason,
the film depicts the corporate social responsibility of the bank and the ethical dilemma.
The bank has a social responsibility first and foremost to ensure that the money or
personal belonging in the bank are safe. Usually, people place their money or treasures in banks
for safety. In the same case, Arthur had a safe deposit for the diamond in the bank for security
purposes. The bank also has the responsibility to make the financial lives of the people are better.
