It seem like that practically everyone with access to the internet is involved in some sort of social media site. First of all, social media lets us connect with friends, co-workers, and others who share the same interests as us. I believe that high school, and college students are the most affected by social media. It is like a vortex that sucks us in to a new world and have a hard time getting out. Social media sites can be explained through the variety of enjoyable features that the website has to give us and a way to obsess us.
With the advantages of social media sites we are able to upload unlimited amounts photos. By doing this, people are able to share their photos with their friends and the public showing their favorite moments in life. Social media make sharing things so easy we could be thousands of miles away and could still contact each other; if we really think about it we are blessed that there is something for us to use like that. First, Social media also has the capability to save paper because people are now keeping their photos in through the social media site rather than printing them. Next, emailing friends and family also saves paper instead of printing it out or writing it and send it to the postal service. Some people we talk to on social media could be our close friends, friends that live somewhere else and same thing with our families. It's just a simple way to save our contact with our friends.
Social media could also be our downfall we know that it is used so much that it will feel like we are not in our own world but the virtual world. This could make students have no experience in real human contact, it will be hard trying to make it in the real world if only using social media to contact people. It can also waste time the more we are on social media sites we will continue to use it till we are tired of it. This could affect our learning capabilities and eventually lower our grade score.
