Immigration In “Close the Borders to All Newcomers,” the author says, “we may desire more and more immigrants, but can we afford so many of them?” In my opinion, we cannot even afford ourselves sometimes, so how can we afford other people from other countries? Every state in the United States is overcrowded. I think to some degree, it is because of different cultures, but we as Americans keep having babies, so that puts more people here on earth. Hispanics do have a lot of kids, but we as Caucasian people have a lot to. There are some out there that will keep having babies just so their welfare will go up. There are some people out there that will go, and lie about their income and other stuff, just so they can get help, and then you got the honest ones out there, and they can’t get help. It is not fair to the honest ones! It is not just Hispanics, African Americans, Chinese, or any other culture, it is every culture doing it, but most people will point a finger just on one culture. I don’t mind immigration as long as they are legal and not illegal. It is not fair to let illegal immigrants over here. It is bad enough that legal ones are over here, but people should have the right live wherever they want to. They need to learn how to speak our language. Only thing I don’t like is that we have to learn how to speak their language, but it seems like they don’t have learn ours. Sometimes they get by with stuff that we as Americans can’t, because they don’t understand English, so the cops will let them go. Is that fair to us? In a way I think immigrants do take our jobs, but then in a way I don’t. Everybody creates jobs. Immigrants work in any kind of work. They work in fields pulling cotton, picking fruits, and vegetables. To me they don’t mind getting dirty, and neither does the African Americans, but some Americans don’t like being out in hot weather, or getting dirty.
