Is belonging to an organized religion necessary?!

Nicole: Birgit, its good that you are always at the meetings on Sundays and that you are
beginning to give comments regularly and in your own words too. One of the
reasons why I’m always inviting you to the meetings on Thursday is because at
these meetings we learn many more things that helps us to continue to be loyal to
Jehovah as well as to help keep us working together as an organization.
Birgit: Nicole the meetings on Sundays are interesting and I’ve learned many things, but
as I told you before, I’m ok with just the Sunday meeting only because I enjoy it.
I have my own personal religion, I don’t like organized religion and I’d like to keep
it that way.
Nicole: I respect you decision Birgit and I won’t force the issue, but, I‘d like to tell you
why I know you would benefit by belonging to Jehovah’s Organization. Hebrews
10:24,25 tells us of an important, interesting requirement. I like to think of it as
an encouragement. Let’s read it together, I’ll read and as I read I want you to
see what stands out to you in these verses. (READ)
So what stood out to you?
Birgit: Well it says not forsaking the meetings
Nicole: Yes that’s true, but that is for christians who are already associating and who
have stopped or slowed down in coming to meetings. Did you noticed though what
the verse starts off by saying? It says Let us consider one another to incite to
love and fine works. Do you know what it means to incite to love and fine works?
Birgit: It means to encourage.
Nicole: Yes it does, now imagine a runner running a long hard race over some difficult
terrain all by himself, you know what happens to him eventually? He tires out and
gives up. However imagine that same runner but this time he has his friends
cheering him on, even if he is tired and feels like giving up, what makes him
