Introduction

Many years human beings are engaged in production, manufacturing or in a word industry and are driven to release all the waste into the environment: rivers, lakes, seas or bury into the land. In recent year mainly economic activity of people is the main source of pollution of biosphere. Environment gets high volumes of gaseous, liquid or solid wastes. Time by time all these unhealthy emissions accumulate in our organism and drastically impact our development. Recent years many agreements have been dealt, many laws have been ordained concerning ecology; in pursuit of the best solution new technology has been created and applied by many companies in the world. One of these companies is British Petroleum, which I choose as a sample for comparison, as one of the greenest companies in the world. The other party I chose Peabody energy as a sample of comparison as one of the economically unfriendly companies in the world.
British Petroleum in brief
British petroleum is oil and gas company which has its headquarter in London, UK. It is the 3rd largest energy company and 4th largest corporation measured by profits in the world. And at the same time it is one of six oil “supermajors”. In addition British Petroleum was founded as Anglo-Persian Oil Company in 1909, being a subsidiary of one of the Iranian companies. BP fuel comes from over 80 countries, in North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and South Pacific. Bp produces at around 3.9 million barrels of oil per day. In total it has 22500 service stations in the world. BP’s largest division is situated in America, headquartered in Houston. This division is the biggest oil and gas producer in United States.
