In the modern world, people are occupied with the daily schedules, working hard for necessities and luxuries and subsequently are dominated by the recent technologies; therefore, in this demanding world, the actual peace of mind is only brought by a religion called Islam. A modern world can be described as the present era which is based on new ideas, thinking, styles and methods that is relatively different from the past. People cannot escape from modernity but depending on the religion, they relate themselves to the modern world and live their life accordingly. Indeed, all religions have proposed certain principles and rules of social conduct as a guideline for their adherents and as a preservation of their moral and ideal unity (Gibb 1970, p.5). However, Islam is propagated by its uniqueness, completeness, detail and firm legalism of its social code and has earned a prominent place in the modern world. Muslims prefer to call Islam as a way of life rather than a religion. Islam can be portrayed as an organised body of religious doctrine, with its own rituals and disciplines; at the same time, it is a system of social ethics and practices (Gibb 1970, p.3). The following paragraphs will corroborate on how the teachings of Islam which complies with the laws of the modern world and its contribution through scientific knowledge gives Islam a significant place in the modern world.

Since Islam is a progressive religion and wants its followers to be progressive, it can easily be acclimatised in this modern world. Islam has faced numerous difficulties, yet it has not lost its place and has become the most powerful force in the contemporary world. For instance, the followers of Prophet Muhammad are like a seed which is sown in the soil.
