Islamic Idealists Are A Threat To American's Safety

Americans and other non-Muslim citizens question our own opinions frequently of how we should view the Islamic religion. America is a place of diversity with many races and religions of all kinds, and they are all accepted into our society. But today’s Islam is a definite threat and challenge to not only America’s well-being, but the World’s well-being including all of the citizens in it. Roger Scruton, author of Islam Is Not Compatible with Western Values, said, “Islam lacks the chain of human accountability that stems from the corporate personality of an organized church. Thus the only way to settle the question whether Islam is or is not a religion of peace is to study the actions of individual Muslims, and the text from which their religion derives. In doing this I found a lot of inconsistency and contradictions in statements from people of the Islamic faith. Hatred can produce one’s desire to perform unmoral actions. Dr. Muzaffar Iqbal is an Islamic idealist totally against western values and the proud author of The Muslim World Should Reject Western Values and Embrace Traditional Islam. He claims that it is perhaps the darkest time in Muslim history and this is caused by the modernization of the western civilizations. This modernization produced institutions that were built with the purpose to higher education and better society. Iqbal says, “These institutions were used to cultivate a new generation who looked like us and behaved like them.” Instead of realizing that the world and societies will change and evolve with time, and religions can change and evolve with time, Iqbal puts the blame on westernization using word such as ”barbaric policy” and “willful destruction” to describe all societal advancements that were brought into the area.
