Truth, what is the truth how does one find it? Many people search for it. Many people claim to have found it, and many claim to give it. One of the earliest seekers of truth was a man named Abraham who came from Babylon. He searched for the truth by praying to god, and god answered his prayer, revealing the truth to him, and making a covenant with him, telling him that his seed would be as the sands upon the seashore.
At least that is the truth that many religions believe today, which include Judaism, Islam and Christianity. Judaism claims to have the truth, A history of the people can be referenced in the Tanakh which is another version of the Old Testament is an acornym for three sets of scriptures. The torah is the first five books of Moses, the book of the prophets and the Writings. In the beginning there was Adam and Eve who disobeyed God’s commandments and became mortal had children and over time the people became disobedient to do in so much that god flooded the earth and saved only one family and two kinds of animals of every kind. Again they had children and they tried to build a tower to get to heaven and god destroyed the temple and confounded the language of all of the people. Next a man named Abraham received by revelation the gospel for his children and the rest of his people this began the organized religion of Judaism which is one of the oldest religions that are still in existence today. They were called Israelites because of one of the original fathers of their nation his name was Jacob and was changed to Israel from that point on they were known as Israelites, as history goes they became slaves in Egypt and Moses spoke with god and delivered them out of slavery and out of Egypt, Moses went to Mount Sinai and received the Ten commandments from god.
