Julius Caesar Final Essay

 I believe that the play Julius Caesar has many hidden lessons to be learned. One of the lessons I have learned from this play is to always do what you know is right. If you make decisions based on what you think others will say or how others will judge your choices, you may end up unhappy and full of regrets later in life. As we know from the play, Brutus is somewhat unsure of his morals at the beginning. Eventually, he decides to kill Caesar and feels so much guilt that he killed himself. He needed to dig deep inside to find what he knows is right, so he would never have done something he possibly didn’t want to do.
I also noticed that this play, though written a long time ago, embodies a situation that still occurs today. This situation is the fact that people become too full of themselves to listen to others. An example of this is Julius himself. Caesar’s wife tells him about her concerns and her bad dreams. Julius just laughs at her because he thinks of himself as invincible. Therefore, he goes to the Capitol and is killed. If he would have listened to his wife, he could have lived. Also, I have an opinion I would like to share. I do not believe in unlucky fate. I believe that we are all the masters of our own fate. In conclusion, I enjoyed the play and had many deep thoughts while reading it.
