INTRODUCTION
What exactly is ghost writing? The actual meaning of ghost writing is actually to hire somebody to do the writing job for us. For example, if you have some ideas on your mind on starting a book because you already have all the ideas on how the storyline should go but you don’t know how to put those stories and pictures in your minds into words. That is when the services of ghost writers are needed.
However, the roles of ghost writers are not merely to translate your ideas or thoughts into words but they also do all sorts of services like writing an academic report, health reports and speeches. Sometimes, they will even offer to do research if the customers require them to do so but with an additional fee of course. Although the term ghost writing may not be so popular or well known in Malaysia yet but in countries like America and Canada, the practice is already widely known in their society. What more, many of them has even started to advertise their expertise and services online for everyone.

Based on the article (Rennie & Flanagin, 1994), Flanagin says that “an article is having a ghost author if the corresponding author reported that an individual who was not listed as an author made contributions that merited authorship or an unnamed individual participated in writing the article”.
