Executive Summary
Introduction
KC’s Before & After School Care is a day home located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Although, KC’s Before & After School Care has grown into a prosperous business since its launch in 2012, it continually faces challenges to maintain its lead in the day home industry. Because of this, KC’s Before & After School Care needs to have an appropriate approach to guide it over the next couple of years in order to fulfill its vision and to maintain a competitive advantage over its rivals.
This report begins with a company overview that includes a brief history of the business and a look at the day home industry. Second, the company’s mission, vision, core values and shareholders are analysed. The third part of the report looks at KC’s Before & After School Care’s competitive forces using Porter’s Five Forces Model. Next, the company’s macros environment is analyzed using the SWOT analysis. The fifth part of the report looks at the strengths and weaknesses in its internal environment. The sixth part of the report looks at three strategic options the company can implement. The last part of this report includes the recommended strategy and the implementation issues that go along with it. KC’s Before & After School Care was founded by Kara Clowes (CEO) in September 2012 when RC’s Before & After School Care went out of business in August 2012.
