In classic literature, it massively created numerous intelligent poets in our history. Langston Hughes was perhaps the most significant black American writer in the twentieth century. During the period of the Harlem Renaissance of the early twenties, to the Black Arts reorientation, his short stories, novels, poetry and dramas had been created a profoundly influence on African American culture.(Andrew p.1) His contribution had helped unify of African Diasporas which intensely have an effect on the generation after him. Actually his writing talent was discovered by his high school teacher and classmates. Besides, his high school in Cheveland also was the first place where Hughes published first pieces of verse in the school magazine to begin his legend (Answer.com p.1).
James Langston Hughes was born on February 1, 1902, in Joplin, Missouri. His parents got divorced during the childhood. He was raised by his grandmother in Lawrence, Kansas until he was thirteen and then with his mother in Lincoln, Illinois and Cleveland, Ohio where he went to his high school to start writing poetry. For the duration of Hughes stayed with his grandmother, he wasn’t able to satisfy the attention she gave. Nevertheless, “through the black American oral tradition and drawing from the activist experiences of her generation, she instilled in the young Langston Hughes a lasting sense of racial pride” (Kansan 2). After the death of his grandmother, he went to live with family friends, James and Mary Reed, for two years. Later, Hughes decided to live again with his mother in Lincoln, Illinois and eventually to attend the high school in Cheveland, Ohio. (Andrew 2). Lam2
