Have you ever been so lazy and unmotivated that you had CPS threatened to take you away from your family? Probably not. i wish i could say the same thing. in the beginning of my highschool career i was not what you would call a very focused and dedicated student. i couldnt say my number one priority was to excel and acheive good grades to move onto a good college, but was more concerned on going out with my friends and enjoying my 4 years of high school as much as possible. unfortunately for me that wasnt the smartest choice i could have made.
Graduating from middle school and moving onto 9th grade i was thinking, "this is going to be a breeze." but when my teachers started assigning me backpack loads of school work i thought differently. all that was going to my head was how ridiculous this was and stopped trying hard. i was not the type of student to skip out of classes, but even though i was there in class, i never paid attention to the lecture or assignment and did not even bother to do any of the work. I was never the one to worry about it; i always thought it would be alright. when it came down to the end of my 9th grade year i was in alot of school work debt. my last few weeks of the year i had no time to hangout with any friends because i was way too busy staying late everyday after school to make up tons of work. luckily, i barely passed my 9th grade classes when my report card came. summer was here and i had nothing else to worry about. once it was back to school and my 10th grade year began, i was still stuck in this slump. school did not interest me at all. i began skipping out of my classes and was even less motivated to do any work the few times i was actually in class. that year i ended up failing a few classes and was forced to go to summer school so i could regain my lost credits i needed for graduation and get back on track. Going to summer school every day completely ruined my summer that year and any dreams of having all the fun i possibly...
