Leadership the Army Values

Leadership the Army Values

L- Loyalty to me is being “bearing true faith” not only to the U.S Army but to my fellow soldiers and what we stand for. It is one of my values I use in my everyday experiences, but also without this there would be no trust in the world.
D- Duty to me is to always fulfill what you were asked to do. There shouldn’t be a reason why you can’t do something unless it is morally wrong. This teaches you how to be responsible for your own actions, and in the long run doing your duties doesn’t only help you but others as well.
R- Respect is another one of the values I use in my every day. Without respect in anyone’s life there would be no authority. Ii use respect not only with myself but with everyone I am around daily.
S- Self discipline this was a big value that took me awhile to really understand completely. To have self discipline takes a lot more than people may think. By being disciplined you benefit your fellow soldiers and companions, and make a good leader.
H- Honor is the main key of our army values. Its definition is to “live up to all the army values” that is a big deal. You literally have to use all 7 values and then some.
P- Personal courage is something that is more within you than anything. It is being able to face fears, and danger, if it is mentally or physically. It is being able to face the dilemmas.
