How to Improve Customer Service

I have worked in the legal field for thirteen years, in which my position was a case manager. In this position customer service is extremely important, in that I must provide the best legal services, professionalism, and understanding of the customers’ situation and concerns. I believe great customer service can be a success to any business. It can bring back positive feedback to customers, and the customers’ may send new customers. It’s all about bringing the customer’s back.
However, customers have complained to me that previous Law Firm’s did not provide the best customer service regarding their legal matters. The case manager’s did not return calls, and did not listen to the customer’s concerns. In addition, Law Firm’s have lost money, and customers due to the lack of great customer service.
Therefore, I strongly believe the importance of good customer service. Kelly Hunter wrote an article “How to Improve Customer Service”. I found this article to be interesting, because she gives tips to improve customer service. First of all, Ms. Hunter begins with people that work in the customer service departments. Ms. Hunter explains in her article that customer service is a challenging field to get into. The person working in the field has to be ready for anything, and make the customers’ pleased. No matter, what the situation might be its all about keeping the customers satisfy. Ms. Hunter describes the tough matters that might occur, for example a customer with an unpleasant attitude. It’s the employee responsibility to calm the customer down, and let the customer know that they are there for them.
In more detail, she starts with people that work in the customer service department who get pay low wages, and receive few benefits. For that reason, they do not keep the customers’ satisfy.
