Doing the right thing even when no one is looking to me has a lot to do with if that person has integrity or not. The definition of integrity according to Webster’s dictionary is” a rigid adherence to a code of behavior.” There is a lot of ways to look at a person and see if they have integrity. A person with integrity that will always do the right thing and possesses many qualities. Some of these qualities are honesty, the ability to follow a moral code, and loyalty to yourself, your beliefs and doing the right thing at all times even when you know you will not get in trouble and when no one is looking. In this essay I will tell you of my situation and how I fail to maintain my integrity and disappointed a lot of people and risked my career for something that was not worth it at all.
For me it was not that I am bad person I just made a mistake that I could have easy prevented and save me a lot of trouble. People make mistakes no one is perfect. I think some people make mistakes because something that is not a big deal with them might be considered a really bad thing to others but rules are rules. Also it’s the way people are raised and the stuff they have gone though in their life. The main difference is what happens after they make the mistake some people learn from it like I did and some people just take it in a bad way and don’t take anything from their mistakes. People need to learn from their experiences its good for us and for our future generations because when people that learn from their mistakes have kids then pass on what they have learned to these kids so they will not make the same mistakes they did. In my experience I learned that no matter what not thinking though what you are doing can turn in to a really bad thing. I disappointed a lot of people wasted peoples time and gave them more work than what they already had.
