Legal Drinking Age in European Countries

Europe is the continent where alcohol is consumed the most and Italy is the Country where it is consumed the most. In Italy the age limit to buy beer or alcohol whichever is 16. The people are allowed to drink before that age only if allowed by parent or guardian or if a family member is present. Right now they are thinking of changing the age for buying alcohol to 18 because they think it would be better for everybody. A lot of people are protesting because if they do that there will be more illegal drinking and contraband and all that. They say that if the drinking age is 18 then the teenagers will be prompted to get it illegally just because it’s illegal. That they have their age at 16 to buy because that shows the teenagers from very young to drink moderately and proper like with their family and not go to parties or to other places illegal where something bad could happen to them or that they will be more prompted to drink more and get drunk, where things like driving under the influence can happen. That it would be a big chaos if they do that. As we can see Italy and USA are very different in that perspective. One thinks that the body and brain have to be fully developed and the other ones thinks that the people should drink alcohol in a early age so that they learn how to control it or like learn not to exceed themselves and drink it in a proper way. Here into eh USA if they get you drinking and if you are not 21 they give you a ticket and you have to go to court and pay a lot of money. Also if a store sells you alcohol before that age then the store and you get to go to court and have to pay a lot of money. In Italy they sell alcohol every day. In restaurants they sell wine and even kids as 10 or whatever age they can buy and drink it right there and there’s is no one that will tell them something for doing that.
