We are all human, therefore we all make mistakes, but the one thing that comes out of these mistakes, is we usually learn a lesson. Making mistakes is human nature, none of us are exempt. That is even true in writing this paper, I will have to write many drafts without errors, and to meet what I feel is right. It will only be natural for me to make these mistakes. But, just as in making errors on this paper and making the corrections, making mistakes in life and correcting them makes for a better human being. During my fifteen years of life, I have made many mistakes. More than I care to share. But, I have learned many lessons from these mistakes.
I’ve learned that fighting at school is far from appropriate to the educational environment. Not only is it inappropriate, it does not show responsibility or self control. I am in high school now, I have to take responsibility for my actions. I have to grow up, I’m too close to the real world to still be acting irresponsibly and carelessly. I should also think before I take action. Just like the saying, “Think before you speak” I should think before I act. I have no logical reason as to why I did what I did. I shouldn’t let petty things like that bother me. I have to learn to let things go.
Violence is never the answer. I should have handled the situation better, but once again I wasn’t thinking. A physical altercation was really unnecessary. It could have been prevented if I hadn’t confronted the girl. Once again everyone makes mistakes and that was one of mine. I can’t live my life always fighting and letting people get to me.
