THE PROBLEM AND ITS SCOPE

RATIONALE OF THE STUDY
Every person has its own views and perspective in life; he has different opinion and value of himself that sets him apart from the other person. Self-esteem is related to a sense of self worth and sense of value. However, every individual has a personal choice of becoming who he is, that obviously lies on his personal beliefs and regard of himself. His successes and failures greatly depend on his ability and determination that is basically brought about by his self-esteem; That is, a person with high regard of himself and has a firm belief of himself would oftentimes end up being successful with his every move and his choice of career because he has a strong sense of self-esteem, that he has the capacity to fulfill a certain thing that he believed is just within his reach. Self–esteem is very important because it boost one’s ego to be determined that everything is just too trivial to deal with, that things are possible to reach and that positive self-esteem is the immune system of the spirit, that it helps an individual to face life’s problem and bounce back from adversity easily. Self-esteem is easy to develop for it is built upon the experience of success by thinking of it as a circular process. That when people experience success, they grow in self-confidence. As self-confidence grows, they feel empowered to face new challenges. And as they succeed in confronting each challenge, they develop the capacity to cope with whatever life throws their way. That feeling leads to further growth of self-confidence, self-reliance and self-esteem.
The ultimate measure of man is not where he stands in moments of conform and convenience but to where he stands at times of challenge and controversies.
