If Link Telecom plans to be successful in the retailing sector then they’ll have to make sure that the introduction of their new generation of mobile communications is effective. Firstly they’ll need to look at the current market and what competitors are likely to conflict with the distribution. Mobile technology has been expanding rapidly over recent years and so Link Telecom were to bring out their next generation they’ll have to adapt it to the constant-changing market.
Link telecom would have to think about manufacturers such as who will make the most reliable product and who will offer the cheapest service. They’ll have to take price and quality into consideration as they need to offer a quality product and service for a reasonable price.
If Link Telecom plans to bring out a new generation of mobile communication they’ll have to think whether it’ll be a service, product or both.
Will the service be better than those on the market?
Link Telecom will have to offer all the current services that current mobile communication businesses offer such as internet (3G), text, calls and video calling. They’ll be successful if they introduce a platform that is easy to use and offers all the services in today market for cheaper prices. They could offer some free services for customers if they purchase a communication plan. They have to take Blackberry into consideration that have brought out an instant messaging service and think whether they can offer better services. Link telecom will have to think whether they’ll be introducing a mobile network for their communications or whether they will just offer services.
Will the product be better than those on the market?
Will the product be compatible with all the mobile technology and services offered? The mobile product would have to have an operating system that is fast, can easily deal with applications (games, themes, word processors etc.) and offers a wide range of features (such as video camera, wifi,...
