Link Essay
Coming into high school can be one of the scariest things in life. There are so many things that happen in high school and no one wants to mess them up, so the transition can be quite intimidating. The worse part of the entire high school experience is the first day. The first day is when you meet your teachers and you are walking around a school with 1500 students most of which are older and bigger than you, the first day is by far the worst; however our school is fortunate to have a LINK program. LINK helps those freshmen calm those first day gitters. It helps those students way to make the most out of their high school experience. I want to be a LINK leader so I can do more than just help them with there first day I want to help them love high school. I’m a very positive person and I want to help pass on that optimism on from my freshmen. I also think that I can learn things from the freshmen and they can learn things from me. Being in LINK teaches both the freshmen and LINK leaders the same thing; leadership, teamwork and overall how to make their time in high school the best it can be. By being a LINK leader you can give the incoming students not only a mentor, but also a friend and someone they know they can count on whenever they need to. Being a link leader would not only be an honor but also a great opportunity.
