I think that we all should believe that love conquers all. That if there is enough love in the relationship, it will all work out till it dies. In the case of the movie Slumdog Millionaire, for Jamal, love does conquer all. Jamal will do whatever he can to find and fight for the ones he loves, no matter how high the power may be to fight against.
In this movie, there is a scene where Jamal finally tells Latika that he loves her, and her response turns out to be the answer the high power demands on them. Latika says “so what?” That no matter how much you love one another, there is nothing you can do about it. So Latika tells Jamal to leave and forget her, not matter how hard it may be, as long as they both stay alive. Jamal has found and lost Latika many times and has gotten nowhere, except his love has grown for her. With Latika’s response to I love you; it shows that in the community they have been growing up in, it is hard to fight against the higher power. Jamal’s brother Salim and Latika are both in the hands of the most powerful man in India, love cannot fight him. Salim only joins this group to get possible revenge for what they did to his mom when he was younger. Showing that he will never forget the love of his mother and that is all that matters. That he has nothing left and wants to protect his love within him.
Ever since Jamal and Salim’s mother died, Salim has been trying to do the best he can to take care of Jamal. In another set, Jamal wants to do the best he can to take care of Latika. Salim has also told Jamal to forget about Latika, she can take care of herself and she will be safe, worry about you now. As the movie goes on, they get older. Jamal parts away from Salim and Latika, because Salim held a higher power towards his brother, a gun. Jamal is showing so much strength, that he has not soon forgotten about his two other musketeers, which I believe is love. When Jamal...
