Majik Trick

I as a child wanted to be a magician like my grandfather. I thought he was the greatest magician alive. He once taught me a message trick. This trick would prove to me that this magic stuff was not for me. My grandfather gave me some directions to follow and no matter how accurate I thought I was, well I just did not have what it took. I could blame the directions all day long, but the truth is I am no magician.
The audiance was supposed to see me stuff a blank paper into an envelope. After saying abracadabra and waving my hand, I would then remove the blank paper, which now mysteriously has writing on it!
I would use 2 identical envelopes, 2 identical pieces of paper, something to write with, and some glue. To prepare, I would glue the two envelopes together, back to back, so that when I held them together it looks like one envelope. This is called a subtitution.I put a paper with writing on it in one of the envelopes. It could be a name, or a special message. I would set the envelopes in a place where I wanted to do the trick, with the empty envelope facing up and the blank paper close by. When my friends were around and I was ready to do the trick, I'd pick up the paper. Show it off to everybody. Make a big deal about how it's blank. This is called misdirections. Since everyone was paying attention to the paper, they did not notice the envelope as much. I folded the paper the same way I folded the paper I wrote on. I would then pick up the envelope, being careful to keep the empty envelope facing my audience. I put the blank paper in the envelope. I would then again need to use the misdirection. I took the pencil (or whatever I used to write with) and waved it high above my head. I was to look at my audience. They would either look at my eyes or at the wand. While I was doing this, I would turn the envelope over, so that the other side is face up. Tap the envelope with the writing instrument, and open up the envelope on the side I now have face up.
