Subj: PROPOSED PROJECTS TO IMPROVE DEVELOPMENT AND DELIVERY OF HEALTHCARE PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
1. Mission
a. Manage Your Health, Inc. (MYH) has designed a new strategic plan with a primary focus of improving the development and delivery of healthcare products and services.
1. Goals
a. Organizational level goals that have been implemented into the new MYH strategic plan:
(1) Reducing internal costs,
(2) Increasing cross-selling of products,
(3) Exploiting new Web-based technologies.
2. Vision
a. In support of the mission and strategic goals, MYH will include promotion of synergy amongst:
(1) Customers,
(2) Employees,
(3) Suppliers.
3. Proposal
a. Four projects composed to achieve intentions of the strategic plan have been analyzed by MYHs’ Information Technology (IT) department:
(1) Recreation and Wellness Intranet Project,
(2) Health Coverage Costs Business Model,
(3) Cross-Selling System,
(4) Web-Enhanced Communications System.
Recreation and Wellness Intranet Project
-Help employees improve their health by offering company-sponsored recreational programs and classes to manage health-related issues.
-Incentives will be offered for employees to join the programs; this will be managed through web-based data tracking from the time applications are submitted.
-Employee health insurances is estimated to be lowered by nearly 20%. As a result, internal costs will be reduced with an annual net savings of $30 for each employee for the next 4 years.
