Background of organization:

Mount Royal Academy, Narayanganj, is a Controlled Higher Secondary School, which is situated approximately half a kilometer from Chasara, and 16 kilometer from Dhaka. It is mainly a English Medium school and it is the first English medium school in Narayanganj. Mount Royal Academy has provided education in the area from 1996. Rebuilt in 2004, it was renamed Mount Royal Academy, Narayanganj. Due to growing numbers, an extension was built in 2010. They are very fortunate to have a very big area attached to the school. They are fortunate to have an extensive site which provides an excellent environment for primary education. Mount Royal Academy has a mission that
to provide all pupils with a high quality education, which meets individual needs within a stimulating and caring environment

In recent years its pupils have been drawn from both the local area and the outside of the areas. The children currently enrolled are from different backgrounds and areas.

In September 2013, enrollment stood at 150 students with an additional 16 full time teachers in the school. Some classes in Mount Royal Academy, Narayanganj are composite, that is, they are formed by putting together children of two different years. Within classes, a variety of appropriate organizational strategies are employed including ability groupings, mixed ability groupings, peer and random groups, whole class teaching and individual work.
