During this project I have learned so many things about Marilyn Manson and how people can be easily stereotyped. I found out that just because Marilyn Manson’s appearance and music was different people automatically thought he was a devil worshiper and that he brain washes people through his music. I also have learned that just with one look of what your wearing or what your listening to or even who your with people instantly start judging and I don’t think that it’s right to do things like that. I learned that just because you dress different or your just different doesn’t mean you do bad things or certain things to people.
In order to improve my presentation I could have found more information on how Marilyn Manson felt about all these people going on strike against him and how they just judge him based on his looks and music. I wish I could have got his exact comments of what he thought about his whole situation and maybe find out, if he could do it differently would he have changed anything. I possibly could have talked more about how Marilyn Manson’s music was accused of a shoot out at a high school. I could have also explained more about his messages in his music and the way he performs.
In the future I will use this experience to not judge people by the way they look or what they do or even what they listen to. I will have an open mind of what people want to do or say and just sit and listen to what they have to say. This experience made me realize that there are so many people that will just stare at you and judge everything about you .I’m going to tell people that it’s not polite to do things that could hurt people’s feelings and then maybe end up hurting themselves.
In order to do my project I had to get resources which I got from a book called “The Road out of Hell”, and I also got my resources from the internet on Marilyn Manson’s official website and on spooks.com. I even got resources from Marilyn Manson’s fan website and from what I already...
