Marketing Strategy: Kudler Fine Foods

Kudler Fine Foods is a growing fine foods grocer that wants to be a leader in its industry by providing great customer service and fresh and quality products. The company was the idea of owner Kathy Kudler who left her corporate position to pursue her passion of cooking and finding exotic food ingredients. The grocery chain currently has three stores in different parts of southern California and is considering opening a fourth store. The company has approximately 127 employees. They specialize in five food departments: bakery, meats and seafood, cheese and diary and produce. The mission of the company states it will go to great lengths to ensure they are the “purveyor of choice for customers aspiring to purchase the finest epicurean delights” (Kudler intranet). Recently the company has decided it may want to venture into catering, with the popularity of its stores and delicious food it could be a viable option for the company. The company has also decided to use local organic farmers as their produce providers, this is sure to please the customers because they know exactly where their produce is coming from and it is supporting a local business. This paper will discuss the Kudler business strategy and the how changes in the technology environment create business opportunities.
Changes in Technology
Many business opportunities can be created with the advancement of technology. Technology that would make business more efficient and improve customer service. Technology such as the Internet can also be used to marketing and customer service as well. Kudler Fine Foods believe quality customer service is why their organization is so successful. It is a high value for them and the company looks for every opportunity to improve the customer experience.
