Mastering a Skill: Basic Communication

Mastering A Skill

What I experience is when some of my friends talk to me sometimes I cant tell if there joking or being serious at times because of there body language and the tone they speak when they are saying things. I have couple of friends who get me confused a lot like when they are telling me some good news or bad news. they tell me the ending first and I am wondering what it is they are trying to get at until they tell me the beginning then I finally understand it. Same thing can goe with texting and emails. People can understand each other a lot better if they were to take a couple of classes on basic communication. I mean I am sure we get a lot of misunderstandings because the way this person said things and we took it the wrong way when he didn’t mean it that way, right? It can be awkward.
I feel what we lack in skills are in the work place. Some people tend to think its ok to be themselves when there are some things you just cant do. Back when I was working at a grocery store in montana as an item stocker I met this guy I thought would be cool. He seem to be alright until one day I saw him in the break room eating someone elses lunch and he asked if I wanted some. He always got in trouble with the manager because he be always telling sex jokes offending female employees and showed up to work 20 minutes late until he got fired a month later. He could of known better like he should of have had manners, been more responsible, had respect of other peoples things and feelings. He felt he didn’t do anything wrong. I know there are quite of few people like him everywhere like some of my friends I admit. He would have still had a job and would not be behind on bills if he had known how to act in public. Workplace essential skills would have been great for him.
I also have a skill I need to master. Since I am going into the business field in college I need to learn better english like grammar. I know I myself tend to use a lot of unessary words...
