I think it’s very important to have the skill to be able to manage your money. I was brought up that you should never spend more than you make and if you want to buy something, you have the cash for it. Not only have my parents been great examples of this but I have seen them get the things that they want for less money than aperson that put it on a credit card. I see this as an advantagebecause who wouldn’t want more money in their pocket? I know with the way the economy is right now, I would want to be able to save every penny I could. I found some statics online that were when from a few years ago that the average American has about $9000.00 in credit card debt. Most Americans only pay their minimum payment to the credit card companies and we all paid over 50 billion dollars in interest last year! With the crisis our country is in right now because of all the debt we are in, I think it’s important, more now than ever, to make sure that we know how and where we are spending our money. Not only is it important to know where our money is going today, but also where it goes for our future. I go to work to make money, which paysfor food, gas, my car, my rent, clothes, etc. I wouldn’t be able to go to work without my car or gas. I couldn’t go to work if I wasn’t dressed properly. I wouldn’t be a healthy human being without food and exercise which cost money. I go to school, which costs money, to be able to make more money in the future and have a career that I prefer rather than what I have to do in the moment. I need money to do the things that I love. I love to shop, and even when I go to the thrift store, I need money to buy things there. It is a vicious cycle that doesn’t ever stop circling. Without the things that cost us money every day, we wouldn’t be wouldn’t be able to lead the lives that all of us live today.
