My personal legend
I believe it is my personal legend to be an elementary or middle school music educator because about a year ago my three year old sister past away from hypoplastic left heart syndrome, which basically means she had half a heart. When I used to stay with her for weeks after a surgery she would faintly smile when she woke up and ask me to sing to her. Now I’ve always had a passion for music however my sister always drove my passion because she would always want me to play and sing for her. I would always smile and tell her of course. It is because of my sister that I love being around children and being able to put a smile on their face reminds me of her. As I’ve said from the time I was little I loved singing and believe me my mom will tell you some crazy stories about what I used to do as a kid when I heard my favorite song. Like for example one of my favorite movies was lion king and when I heard the opening song while eating my breakfast id jump on the table and sing my heart out.

A lot of people don’t understand what it was like for me to sit there while my sister suffered and to be honest I have been struggling with the belief that god didn’t take her from me, but the point is that making my sister smile and seeing how I could change her day with one song drove me to continue to advance my musical talent and want to set goals for it.
It is my belief that another part of my personal legend is to settle down with a family because again it has a lot to do with my sister and how when she was in the hospital I was always by her side till the day she past. My relationship with my sister wasn’t just a brother sister thing. I felt like...
