Detecting Media Bias

Racial tension in the United States is becoming more and more visible, as the Zimmerman verdict came out that he was not guilty the tension has risen even higher.
The article that I have read was called” Law Makers Say Racial Prejudice Can’t Be Wiped Away With Laws”. The article is about exactly how it sounds, in the United States race and gender is falling into prejudice categories and the U.S. citizens want a law against this. There is no way that a law against prejudiced people can be passed but there can be a way it can be erased by dialogue. This was said by President Obama and reading that just made me think about how often I have seen this, happen and I have seen it just a few times but it was a very awkward time because it was myself my daughter and her father in a store down an aisle and an older women felt threatened because of his skin color, which hurt my feelings because the look in his eyes were hurtful.

This article pretty much summed up how Caucasians and other races tend to look down on African Americans. Two Congressmen of whom one was Hispanic and one African American spoke up and have let it be known that they are personally affected by this race tension in the United States, The article did not give any type of clear evidence or state any facts on how they are going to go about this sort of epidemic that is going on with race issues.
