Good evening ladies and gentlemen of the co-op I would like to take this moment to thank the members of the co-op for inviting me to talk about the issues on plastic bags.
First of all I would like to talk about the discuss environmental issues for example a plastic bag entered the Pacific Ocean and a sea turtle spotted it then ate the plastic and when it entered the turtle straight away it passed away and. You might be thinking why did the turtles eat the plastic bag well I assure you the poor critter did not commit suicide, it ate it because of the turtle mistaking the deadly plastic for a Jelly fish plus the turtles population will go down.
So that sea turtle died because we us humans have killed an innocent turtles and we are guilty of killing that innocent turtle some may not know it but we did. It’s not the turtle’s fault he was just hunting for its pay.
However this will affect the food chain for example if the predator of the turtle eats the dead turtle that predators would die as well and so there population will go down and there predators will die and the marine animals will die and go extinct.
What if a child was playing with the plastic bag and it landed on the child head and they died
I know that you of all people would not want that to happen because your campaigns on fair-trade, what you have done for farmers across the world.
Furthermore you can see the plastic bags on the road can you imagine what it would be like In the future its like a tooth ache slowly eroding away the tooth.
Can you imagine a world filled with plastic bags everywhere you look plastic that’s rely bad because of us our next generation if we act now maybe time can be spared.
