ATZT-TD-HSC 25 September 2007 MEMORANDUM FOR RECORD: SUBJECT: Initial Counseling MSG McKinney, this memorandum is being provided to you to inform you of all your duties and responsibilities as the senior enlisted Soldier in our motorpool. As a senior leader, you are aware that the expectations are very high. I am sure that you will have no problem fulfilling your task: a. Safety should be your primary concern. The majority of our soldiers are very young. As leaders, we are required to emphasize safety in everything they do. We have been accident free for eight months and I intend on that record to stand. Stress safety in your Soldiers. Encourage them to form safety into a habit. b. As a motorpool, maintenance is a priority. I am not interested with how fast our equipment is fixed. I am more concerned with the quality of the work. Once it leaves our shop, it shouldn’t come back for the same reasons. That would be a waste of man hours. Insure that we are completing our task the right way. c. Training is also a concern. In my opinion, each Soldier that works in our motorpool should be knowledgeable on every piece of equipment entering our motorpool. Persuade all Soldiers to cross train on the various equipment that we maintain. It benefits all involved by them being combat ready as a mechanic. d. We are a maintenance team. I will provide you with everything you need to accomplish your mission. Keep me updated on everything concerning you and our Soldiers. POC for this memorandum is the undersign. DARYL JOHNSON WO1, OD Engineer Equipment Technician
