African Americans have been stereotyped throughout history. Some of the stereotypes, such as being athletic and eating fried chicken, are harmless, while others are negative and even cause injustice. African Americans in today’s society are often typecast as being poor and violent criminals. They are perceived this way due to everything that they have gone through. They have gone through a lot. They used to be slaves. They should not be stereotyped this way because it is wrong and immoral. Stereotypes are not right. People should not think them at all.
