Work Culture Preferences And Competencies
Based on my Work Culture results, I am teamwork centered, well resourced and ethical. All traits, I believe, that are crucial when managing people and working closely with individuals who are willing to open themselves up to healing in order to deal with personal issues. The results also determined that I am friendly, supportive, like working close with others, cooperative and share. It stated that I will most likely provide a safe environment and hold myself and others to high standards at work. When it comes to opening the healing center, knowing these cultural preferences and competencies strengthen my confidence and benefit individuals as well as the entire community.
According to Robbins and Coulter (2012), “Strategic plans are plans that apply to the entire organization and establish the organization’s overall goals.” Operational plans are plans that encompass a particular operational area of the organization. By understanding the differences between the two and combining it with my work culture preferences and competencies results it will help me determine the overall or strategic plans and specific or operational plans that will make the center successful. The overall plan is to create a safe and nurturing environment where individuals can feel safe and openly express themselves and work towards healing. One operational plan to assist in the overall healing process will be the use of art therapy.
I feel confident that my results of teamwork centered and well resourced competencies will be beneficial when I develop the strategic plan using the strength, weakness, organization and threat (SWOT) model due to my willingness to allow others to be creative with their ideas and offer their experiences as well as my ability to be resourceful both environmentally and creatively.
