MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE ENGLISH FOR MASS COMMUNICATION FAS T1 GROUP 4 HELD IN THE YNG YNG HOME ON FRIDAY 7 JUNE 2013 AT 1800.

1. TOPIC CHOSEN
Mam Gie propose to do the research on teenagers suicide, but the group members thinks that it is not a suitable topic because it is too common. Le Yin suggested the topic working mother as it is interested and doable. The topic was agreed by all of group member.
2. WORKING MOTHER
Eng Xian propose that working mother is the woman who going to work after giving the birth.
3. EFFECTS TO THE FAMILY
Chee Ing reported that the maternal absence is associated with more frequent negative interactions between siblings always happened in the working mother’s family and the children development also will influenced more by the emotional health of the family. But, Le Yin argued that daughters of working mothers have been found to have higher academic achievement and greater career success.
4. SOLUTIONS
Mam Gie has investigated to overcome the problem of working mother, is to divide and delegate the work, and divide the house chores. Thus, usage technology to keep in touch the children also will be one of the solutions
5. ANY OTHER BUSINESS
Yng Yng has provided her house living room for our meeting venue. Dinner had been prepared for us after the meeting by Yng Yng mother.
6. DATE OF NEXT MEETING
It was agreed that the next meeting would be held on this next Friday 14 June at 2000.
