Motivation in practice
Introduction
Motivation is the way in which employees are encouraged to want to work and do well at there job because they want to meet a certain goal or objective. A motivated employee is somebody who works hard because they feel fulfilled when they do so. This is important to all businesses because if the staff within businesses are not motivated then there is no will to do well in there job role because they will be demotivated, when employees are demotivated they are more likely to make mistakes on the task that they do, if mistakes are made then businesses have more costs for example if an employee gets the measurements of ingredients in a cake then the cake would not be able to be sold or would have to be sold at a lower price so this would result in the business either losing out on a sale or losing out on profit. If people are motivated then they would want to do well and work well so therefore would not cost the business as much and would mean the business would then gain more profit because mistakes are not being made.
