Moving Locations
October 2005, my family relocated due to major plumbing problems in our house. The property owner told us we had to move out because they were going to do major plumbing. Instead of moving houses we moved states, from Los Angles to Las Vegas, Nevada. I was young and didn’t want to move, especially not to a new state where I barely knew anyone. Moving out of that house was hard for my whole family because my brother and sisters all had grown up in it. We knew we were leaving our good times behind and would have to make new ones. We all did understand that it wasn’t our parents fault and that we had to just accept it. Moving to Las Vegas was both good and bad. Fortunately, when school started, we did not have to wear a school uniform and I was able to stay out later and play. Unfortunately, the weather was never just right it was either too cold or too hot and we weren’t always able to go out to the entertainment areas because of money issues. We spent a little over a year living there and then moved back to Los Angeles. Moving back to our home town felt some much more comfortable because we were familiar with the area better than Las Vegas. Although we had moved for a short period of time, it was a bummer because we had to move out of our childhood house that carried so many memories, both happy and sad. But it was a great experience.
