Have you ever had a really bad day or an extreme emotion running through your veins? Or just want to hear some of the most talented musicians to ever walk the earth? If you answered “yes” to either of these questions you have the makings to be a Metal head. What is a metal head you ask? There are many kinds of metal heads because there are many kinds of metal. There are three genera greats in the Metal world today. Classic metal, Death metal, and the newest Metal core. Each of these three being very different from each other. But also very similar.
Classic metal is older then most Metal a few bands that would fall under this category would be Metalica, Slayer, Pantera. Classic metal was most popular from the 80’s and 90’s. It was popular throw this decades because of mass music appeal was shifting directions. Elvis wasn’t considered loud enough or aggressive enough for the people who wanted a faster paced more instrumentally talented music.
The appeal was from musicians that had been practicing new techniques and had been broadening the styles of Rock in Roll. Eventually the styles of Rock and Roll had become to broad and the heavier end got a new name called Metal.
A Classic metal band consists of five members the lead singer, lead guitarists, back up guitarists, bass player, and the drummer. Who all play a crucial part in the band. The lead guitarists usually use electric guitars. This guitars are heavily distorted and use a wamy bar and amp petal to further customize there sound. There is usually one part in every Classic metal songs that the lead guitarist gets to show off and be the focus of the song. Which is called a solo. The back up guitarist also plays a heavily distorted guitar. They don’t always get the attention the lead guitarist does, but “ everyone has there favorites in a band“.
