Exploring the Blackboard’s mysteries

The blackboard is a very useful tool which I find easy to use. There are six tabs in the page and each of them contains materials and tools related to the course. My journey began when I clicked on the announcements tab, where the instructor gives us information about materials needed, the time class begins and a greeting from Mrs. Benes looking forward to meet all of us. The page is written in blue letters and at the top it reads “welcome to English 50”. The second tab is “facts about English 50”, here in this tab are the goals of the class, the pace and a general view of the material we will be working with. Then it remarks the outcomes we will get if we successfully complete the course, and the attendance policy that the teacher has.
The third tab contains the course’s assignments starting from week four to week fourteen. This tab got my attention because the headings have brilliant colors such as: blue, green, red, purple and pink and the letter font changes throughout the page following no pattern that gives it a messy look. Under each of the assignments there is a link to download the instructions for the task, I click on the blue link and the assignment appears in a Microsoft word document. The fourth tab is called helpful documents, and the name says it all. When I click on the tab seven folders appear, each of the folders is filled with documents and tools to use as a reference for our writing assignments. The folders titles are colorful and they also have links to download the hand-outs, outlines and templates.
